World Environment Day 2023 is a reminder that people’s actions on plastic waste matters.

If you know Lookout, you also know that we rely on sustainable raw materials when producing our board games. For years, we’ve primarily used cardboard, paper, and wooden components, as well as water-soluble inks that meet the highest standards. Together with our partners, we aim to consistently do better. As of 2022, we try to have all cards included in our games wrapped in paper instead of cellophane.

Today, Lookout Games is going one step further. This summer we will present the first in a line of games that do not use any plastic at all! Lookout games sporting the Greenline label will be produced with FSC® certified paper and the box enclosure will be sealed with a small sticky paper seal instead of shrink wrap.

CANTALOOP BOOK 3: AGAINST ALL ODDS

Oz "Hook" Carpenter is a charismatic crook. Although he is one of the best in his field, he was badly framed 10 years ago and had to go into hiding. Now he's back in Cantaloop - Book 3: Against all odds and out for revenge!

FINAL CALL: LOOKOUT WEBSHOP IS CLOSING

You might have noticed - over the past year - that we've expanded the Lookout team. This was important for us to focus more on our core business: developing great games for you that we also love to play ourselves: Atiwa, Cantaloop - Book 3: Against all odds, Eppi, Tipperary... However, sometimes you have to get smaller. Our fabulous colleague Britta, who managed the online shop so reliably for many years, is thinking about retirement & our warehouse is emptying. In addition, the current legal situation makes it difficult for us to make deliveries to neighboring Austria.

Therefore, we will shut down the Lookout online shop in summer 2023.

In preparation for this, we have spring-cleaned our warehouse and discovered some treasures, e.g. a few copies of the coveted The Colonists or the long lost issue of Neues vom Ausguck - Ausgabe 7 - including the The Colonists scenario "Die kaiserliche Post"^*!

Keep checking back in the next weeks - we will continuously add more items from our collection. There is sure to be one or the other bargain for you.

Agricola fundraising campaign, waltzing in Vienna and winter break in the webshop

Some of you already collected it, the 15 years of Agricola - The Anniversary Box. And whether it's the Anniversary Box or the 15 years of Agricola - Collector's Box for all fans who also want to store their collected Agricola treasures in style: Something is particularly important to us in the context of this anniversary!

15 years of Agricola is a perfect reason to be grateful and give back. For each copy of the 15 years of Agricola - The Anniversary Box sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, we will donate € 1.- to Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft , to support school farms in Germany and provide children and young people with valuable experiences.

Anyone who would like to contribute is welcome to do so. Lookout reserves the right to increase the donation amount, which will be raised until December 31st 2022.

November 11th not only marks the start of the carnival season, in Vienna it also heralds the ball season. The guests of the Grand Austria Hotel are all dressed up, the champagne is flowing and the waltz sounds from the ballrooms of the city...

Grand Austria Hotel: Let's Waltz, the expansion to the popular Grand Austria Hotel by Simone Luciani and Virginio Gigli, was introduced via Kickstarter in 2020. Your feedback and inquiries made it possible, so we are able to roll out a retail edition by the end of this year.

German-language copies are already available in stores, the editions for the international market are on their way and will arrive in the coming weeks (due to the Christmas holidays, it's possible that the games will not show up before January 2023 on some markets)!

Hurry up! The Lookout Webshop is closing for Christmas

To ensure that your gifts reach you in time, our webshop will be open until 12:00 (CET) on December 15th. That way, shipment within Germany shall be with you just time.

This ensured, the Lookout team will take a break and get into Christmas mood, too. Here’s an overview which parts of Lookout are closed for how long:

We are back from SPIEL'22 and still blown away by the fabulous feedback we received for ATIWA, 15 years of Agricola - The Anniversary Box and our other new products. The plan was to put the remaining quantities from SPIEL'22 immediately into the webshop for you. Unfortunately, the road construction office had a different plan:

Due to road works on the access road of the Lookout warehouse, heavy deliveries are currently (nearly) not possible. As a result, our trade show goodies & remaining games are not expected to arrive there before the end of October.

Once they have arrived, the following items will be immediately added to the webshop :

THE "KENNERSPIEL DES JAHRES 2016" IS GETTING BIG!

New players get an easy entry to the cirtical acclaimed game Isle of Skye - From Chieftain to King by Alexander Pfister and Andreas Pelikan with this new Big Box edition. The box alread includes the family friendly Druid expansion, the Tunnel tiles mini expansion, as well as the brand new Boderlands Module mini expansion and offers hours and hours of gameplay.

So good to be back after two years break!

Since January of this year, Asmodee Germany is handling distribution of all Lookout titles. That’s why you will find Lookout very easily among all major Asmodee studios at hall 1. Our usual booth was unfortunately taken, but we will make it up to you with an additional booth in hall 6 – in coop with HÜNE gaming tables .

Just in time for SPIEL'22 , they will gather to make life difficult once again for all of Caverna - The Cave Farmers friends: In this second expansion for Caverna - The Cave Farmers, you must each face the threat of four invading orcs by either sending your armed dwarves into battle or bribing the invaders to go the other way, or both. Either way, you must get rid of the orcs as quickly as possible. Plus, the sooner you defeat them, the better the reward.

If you're looking for a challenge - this edition will also be available exclusively at Lookout's booth in hall 6 during SPIEL'22 .
